Meeting begins with a period of silent worship at 1:10 p.m.

Susan
Hannigan reports for Ministry and Counsel (M&C)
1.
The
next meeting of M&C will take place at the home of Ralph Zito on Thursday
April 3rd at 7:15 p.m. All Meeting members/attenders are welcome to
attend the first, non-confidential, part of the meeting. In the event that
concerns will not be presented in person, M&C continues to request that
concerns be forwarded in writing to the co-clerks (Susan Hannigan and Pamela
Wood).

The
next Morningside Meeting Breakfast will take place in the Riverside Church Café
at 9:30 a.m. on March 23rd. All are welcome-especially newcomers to
Morningside. Miguel Davis-Dacio, Jason McGill and Ralph Zito will host this
event.
3.
Quaker
Quest will take place on March 16th: Worship sharing on the
spiritual aspects of the Meeting’s use of funds. Charlotte Ehrman will
facilitate.
4.
The
Meeting Retreat scheduled for May 16-18th is in need of a
coordinator.

Bart
Dominus presents the Treasurer’s report. Friends are encouraged to make
contributions to the work of the Meeting as soon as possible.

Ehrman reports for the Space Committee.

The
Meeting still awaits a written rental contract from Riverside Church.

Tom
Goodridge reports for the Nominating Committee.
1.
Nominating
proposes the nomination of Charlotte Ehrman for a 4th term on NY
Quarterly Meeting Nominating Committee.

Morningside
Meeting continues to have openings on two committees:
-Ministry and Counsel
-Nominating
3.08.05 Friends approve the appointment of Charlotte Ehrman for a 4th
term to the Nominating Committee of NY Quarterly Meeting.
3.08.06 Ellyse Vitiello reports for Peace and Social Concerns.
Friends
are encouraged to attend the meetings scheduled for the 2nd First
Day of the month.

Kathy
Wood reports for the Ad Hoc Committee on Communications.

The
State of the Meeting Report is on the Meeting website. Meeting Minutes will be
posted on the website.

Meeting
Minutes may also be sent by email.

Sally
Campbell will make hard copies of the Minutes available at meetings for
worship.

The
Committee is laid down.

Friends
are encouraged to consider how members of the Meeting will communicate on a
regular basis in the absence of a newsletter. How can electronic technologies
be better utilized?

Wood reports as interim representative of the Meeting to NY Yearly
Meeting-Meeting for Discernment. She will attend the first seesion of this
entity on March 15th in
Buffalo, N.Y.

Tom
Goodridge reports on the 2/17/08 worship sharing re: the NY Yearly Meeting
Eco-Spirituality Minute and Action Queries. A possible Morningside Meeting
response to the minute will be formulated in the next meeting for worship with
a concern for business on April 6th.
